I have the atari download, not d2d, but it should be similar as atari is the publisher. Mine didn't do a cd check unless/until I patched.
The patch won't even install if you don't have a cd drive - I found out the hard way, on the road with a spare battery installed instead of my dvd drive. But according to one of the d2d reviewers, they don't even have the patch out for the d2d version yet... Last edited by JJMan; 12-04-2008 at 01:35 AM.
