There is a "pause TrackIR" key built-in to the software. It's either F9 or F12 by default, though you can check the key assignments in the TrackIR software to be sure.

This will stop TrackIR position updates, and allow you to use the regular keyboard and mouse controls.

Thanks for the info! I'll give it a try... maybe I can assign the "Left Windows" key, it doesn't have any other use during the flightsim
