You should really visit dms developer forums for this subject.
GEM editor allows you to mod/map/script a lot. As far as carrying over whatever you had in previous mission its possible to do it with some knowledge, there is also a project called dynamic campaign generator that does just that, although they upgrading it to work properly with new game version. http://digitalmindsoft.eu/forums/for...php?99-English
