I normally go online at ATAG using teamspeak and if there are a few people online 20-30+ is quite common. Even with 270ms ping rate I get much better responce and less warping than I get in the original IL2. The Scripted missions are really good especially the ones with radar plots and the Refuel and rearm.
On special events they can get 100+ online at once, though the mission objects normally get blitzed and they are short matches.

Never, I don't have time to set aside for dedicated game playing. My flying happens with lots of other activities at the same time and extensive use of the pause button
