Get the nose down quick if you're not moving fast at air start. The jet has little power at low speed, lots of power at high speed. Trying to climb even a tiny bit from QMB start is a good way to to just flounder along.

IIRC there are tracks worth watching that came with 1946, the 229 wiping out bombers is in one of them.

BTW,you mixed the designations.It was Go-229 or Ho-IX.
