You could always use the Sacrifice spell to get more Rune Mages in some easy battle.

You could also use the console to give yourself the old shoes: name of the item would be 'old_boots', without the quotation marks.

I didn't know about the spell "Sacrifice", but it looks like something you could use.
In other cases their might be Rune Mages in the enemies army - With the Diplomacy Skill from the Mind-tree you could be able to get them to desert and join your army. |

That is the only spell I refuse to use.

The first game of Kings Bounty I ever played I used (abused) it liberally and by the end I had the felling that I wasted my time--sacrifice was so powerful it made the game pointless. I can see someone playing no losses using it but I was never interested in attempting a no-loss game.

I agree that Sacrifice is kind of a game-breaker (especially since you can use it to resurrect Lv. 5 creatures and others which are normally unaffected by Resurrection such as Ents), but if the random generator gives you a bad deal in terms of creature availability I see no problem with using it.
If there is anything you should consider not using in WotN, it would be the Runemages themselves. |
