I have a couple of deadly / invincible units to fight before fighting renzo - mainly the ones on the beach and on Griffin Island. As soon as I fight renzo hostile armies turn into friendly / neutral armies and I guess I should fight them before to boost my level.

Any hints? Thanks a lot!
The Selmy quest, if you said "everyone should live free", he will still offer 'some' human troops on Greenwort (in the deserter's refuge). Hope you saved before hand instead of killing him (like I did the first time through).

Merlassar Island has a human encampment that if you properly do the quest, they will stay and they also have some more human troops.

Sadly, beating Rezo guarantees 7 rune mages (not a lot but you only need 2 to abuse haha) and some arch mages.

You can use Sacrifice + Turn Back Time to bolster your existing armies as well. Or Hypnosis + Turn Back Time or any other solid resurrection skill with Sacrifice.

Sacrifice lets you kill your own units to "add" more units beyond the old cap. If used properly, you never really need to go back as long as you have at least 1 of the unit you want more of. This really only works well if you have a lot of mana or good resurrection skills.

Yeah I skipped a lot of battles I could have killed. Boo me.
