did not patch the game (stopped playing and waiting for a few more patches before I restart) so this might not still apply but for Christa to get her from level 3 to 4 giving the item was successful 1 in 5 attempts, so took some reloading before the donation registered. I did 15 reloads to check and only 3 were successful.
I had same problem with other valkyria, sometimes i fed them 5 items in a row and no lvl increase and sometimes they registered.
