I just saw something else. make sure you run the game on one core and all your other programs on the other core(s). remove the semicolon in front of the process affinity mask and set it 2 or whatever. you may have to play around with this to figure it out by booting the game and going into task manager and looking to see that the il2fb.exe is running on it's own core. if you can find freeware program called cpu control, it is worth the effort to just run that whenever you play il2 because you can set up a profile in cpu control that will ensure il2 is on one core and all the other programs (e.g. freetrack or whatever) are on the other core(s). it makes difference in fps. also, sound settings can sometimes be drag on fps. since you are using onboard graphics, you might want to reduce your sound settings to minimal.

http://www.mission4today.com/index.p...op=show&kid=23 if you look at your post #3 in this thread you have it at [rts] ;ProcessAffinityMask=1 you need to remove the semicolon from that line, unless you have single core cpu! then just leave it as is. the game runs much better when it has its own core and other background programs are put on the other core(s). for example, i have a dual core. so I set it to 2. then with cpu-control (freeware) program I made a profile to put IL2 on the second core and all the other programs on the first core. so whenever I play the game, I just run cpu-control in the background to ensure IL-2 has its own dedicated core, along with that setting in the confi.ini. if your asking about task manager, it's a windows function. it show all the programs and processes running on your computer. after starting the game, go to desktop and run it. then find the il2fb.exe process and do left click. it will show what cores it is using. you should see just one core checked off. edit: also, just ignore the part in the above link about it saying it does not making any difference. that is absolutely incorrect. Without texture compression the color change between white and black and other strange color. It's very strange and in the cockpit I see nothing.
