The Bf109 in my template had the rivets added one by one by myself using the default 109 skin that was included in the first download pack given to us by 1C/IL2 team (don't know what to call them exactly). Luckily that 109 skin had rivets and panel lines done on it, unlike alot of the other skins.

As for the Bf110, I'm trying to transfer the lines and rivets from the void skin, from good old IL2:1946. Not going to be as easy.

ps.. your welcome

And for the record.. I'm not asking the 1C/IL2 team to provide a multi-layered template or anything crazy... Just a void, one layer skin would do (even if we can't change the "hardware" or the "panel-line overlay" I mentioned above in game.

Default skining

In my humble opinion the guys that designed the game really over looked the skinners. They have also have not been consistent and have not allowed overall flexibility even via there text files as to the position of unit codes, they also don't include all of the units text files only some. They have ruined the Spitfire template which now looks ridiculous. As long as they have control of the void template which can't be corrected I feel your far better getting the overall paint scheme right and not worry about the rivets etc because they override all this plus their weathering tool also can override the skin look. If you leave the rivets out when they change their template your skin wont be affected. If your rivets are slightly out of alinement it will affect the skin's look. Also when you look at photo's you can hardly see the rivets anyway. Don't get caught up in the small stuff. Their like an elephant they wont budge. They could do so much more but Obviously wont which is a shame for historical buffs like me who like all the historical correct markings.

^ Interesting read...

Maybe if i spoke russian, i'd be able to ask in a place that the team actually reads. :/

The rivets aren't so important, but the panel lines would be nice to have for weathering certain areas.

I'm not so much looking for the 109. It's the 110, and all the rest of the aircraft for that matter.

But, as for the file, could it be put on a file share site? Or maybe emailed?

S~

Daaamn.. Perhaps it is..! It certainly looks like it..

Is this a file from the game, or has this been created by someone outside of the game?

And...

Where do we find them? I remember stumbling on this before I think.. Before I began skinning for CLoD (and I think it could have been you that gave me the link?) .

Hi U505 I can give you access to my website and you can upload it to a folder and I'll host it for everyone and send you a link you can pass on. You can download FileZilla and I'll send you my web password but only via my personal email: mla[@]asisbiz.com take the brackets out.
