Some of us will definitely find fault with the new sim but I think that all of us will be able to appreciate the advancement made by Oleg and crew in term of flight sim quality. I know that many would have probably been happy with a refresh version of iL2 in terms of graphics... but we are getting more then that...

I really hope that 1C sells a new plane avery 2 months or so. That would be a great way for them to maximise revenues. Just produce a pay for addon every two months with a new plane. That way we get new planes and 1C gets more revenues... we all win...

I know some will argue that paying $20-$30 us per plane is insame, but I see it more as a way to keep this genre alive. Also if 1C was smart about it (and I beleive Oleg is) he would licence the right to sell planes to 3rd party. The way I see it, 1C give strick guideline to follow, a third party submits the planes to 1C if accepted it goes on sales for a given price (law of supply and demand (plane that are more in demands should get more $$$) and 1C gets a % of all sales... voila extra revenues... No work required... just for giving a 3rd party the opportunity to make money using the BOB-SOW trademark... This way you motivate the 3rd parties and 1C makes more revenues.

I really hope that Oleg does not pass on this opportunity to make more $$$ and gives a free ride to everybody like he did with iL2.

Regards,
