On the topic of RoF. It is a good game, and has come a long way from launch. It still has issues so many people seem to forget when people bring up how perfect it is.
1. AI is still very stupid. 2. If the RoF server is offline, you cannot play online or even fly single player career. 3. FM's for German planes are still not right on the Alb series. 4. Career mode has been in "beta" for a loooong time. It is very weak compared to many other games. 5. Online (for US as far as I can tell) is desolate. Not a huge deal for me but big for others. 6. No coop career. 7. Jason Williams. Makes it out to be 777 is always closing its doors if you dont buy something. Sob story of sorts, even though it is a very popular game. Then makes snide and rude comments to users on the forum. He needs to work on people skills, and customer appreciation. I like RoF. I own alot of planes, as well as extras (weapon and field mods), but I dont kiss the butt of 777 like most. I think people would love to see how much money they spent on the game goes to development, and how much goes to supporting the devs lifestyle. Also, RoF is WW1, comparing it to WW2 game is kinda odd. Yes its good, but until it does the more complex area of WW2 planes, its hard to say one is better than the other. |

On that note, I have had more CTDs in RoF than CoD

Yikes...that's odd. Since buying the Iron Cross edition when it came out, and flying all 26 planes in my hangar in different modes, I have not had one single CTD in ROF. I guess you can't put a price on a properly set up rig!

This reminds me of the BMS vs DCS discussion on the DCS forums...
WHO THE F**K CARES! They both have their pluses and minuses... but they both are striving for what I want... combat flight sim... plenty of room on my hard drives so why cant we all just get along and enjoy the fact that there is more than one option in the combat flight sim world I have ROF, CloD, DCS and BMS installed currently, pretty happy with that variety myself

It's not the rig. Everyone is getting regular CTD's loading multi-player missions right now.
