To be on the safe side, anyone think this patch could be installed with the Jonesoft Mod Enabler?

if you mean JSGME, yes that works perfectly. I've been using it to switch between versions for offline/online play since 2 patches ago.

Verify your files on Steam, make sure "keep this game up to date" is not enabled, and extract the patch folders into their respective folders in the jsgmemods folder ie:

C:\cliffs of dover\jsgme\patch 106\parts
C:\cliffs of dover\jsgme\patch 107\parts

Then use the JSGME program as usual to switch between versions ad hoc.

How do I 'Verify integrity of local files (to get back to last official version)' before installing this patch, as Blacksix recommends?

Start Steam, go to your library, right click on Cliffs of Dover, click on properties , a small window should appear, click on "local files" and then "verify integrity".

It will probably say that 31 files are missing, just let steam update the game.

I had not seen the new tracers because I currently dont play Cliffs of Dover and thus I havent installed any recent patch but I just saw a guncam video posted in the video section of this forum and I have to say that subtle change makes a huge difference to me.I know that there are still bugs and other issues but I find this simple thing to be a big improvement. The ricochet look excellent too.Even if I dont feel like playing the sim, I will definitely enjoy watching the upcoming videos showcasing huge dogfights with all those tracers coming and going from every direction as well as the strafing runs just to see those ricochets. Thanks to the team.

Mmm. Thats sad. A definite drop in graphics performance so for me this patch is a nogo.

Tracer ricochets look nice (il2 used to have this when you shot at the Sturmovik). No change in fps for me, still major slowdowns when lots of dust or debris is around. I'm getting the autogen screwup with the trees. Changed the tree setting and it seemed to work but then a few missions later it's back to popping trees. The saga continues.

Also some of the flak guns now have tracers. Bombers too, which is a welcome addition. Now flak must improve its precision, today it's a joke.
