I remember watching dogfight series and one us veteran ace was talking about his snap turn something like that and he said pull the stick to yur gut hard and left or right rudder (I don't remember maybe right have to watch again) and push the stick forward and loosen it. he said then the plane snap rolled and just he did that the 109 passed and he push the trigger just feeling where 109 would end up and he got 109.

I think in Red tail they try to show that maneuver. So somehow it might be possible. I don't think that veteran would lie
