Just FYI, SOW is not dead

What we know:

BOB SOW started in approx 2004
The addons of Pacific Fighters, Pe-2, IL-2 1946, and free updates delayed full time work on SOW until atleast mid 2007.
There are always delays developing a new engine.
There are always delays when adding new features to an engine.
Oleg would like to have more updates but UBI has the final say with all info released.
UBI and other publishers have Valid reasons for keeping all info close to the chest. (they are not doing it to just to piss us off)
Oleg and others have mentioned that the team is working hard and are getting closer every day to the beta stage.
UBI will start an appropriate advertising campaign when the time is right. That is part of their contract as a publisher.

Speculation:

Since there are few monies coming in after the release of IL-2 1946 there is an urgency to complete SOW for the end of this year. I believe SOW will be release within a few months of the end of this year even if they have to delay a feature or two until the next addition to the series.
