Evgeny: why no SOW updates any more?

Im not bashing anyone, i would just like to be kept more informed and have frequent updates, i fail to see why you are so opposed to this. You have directed me to an old website that has had only a couple of updates since its creation in 2006 - what use is that. We have established here that the majority of people would like to be kept up to date and you for some reason dont want to be. No problem.

Not at all. I posted about a dozen times, that I would really like to have some updates, anything at all, to be honest. Mustn't even be a release-date, regular updates or a revival of Ians Wardiaries.

But I do read Olegs repeated statements and I can accept the fact that it is not up to him, Maddox Games or 1C. If that is a crime, so be it.

That has nothing to do with my personal feelings, though some people constantly mix that up, obviously, as well as they mix up programmers and publishers btw.

This forum needs a real admin who will shut threads down and kick people out as soon as the juvenile namecalling starts.

Agreed. But not the people that start this threads. Ban those that reply in an insulting way. As far as i know there is no rule that would forbid opening threads like this.

I am not going to read through all the 'where is BoB' threads because there are just too many and it's clear there is no answer yet.

BUT, what is so difficult in Maddox and UBI getting together and giving us an update from time to time? There have been so many posts that even if there were a launchdate I haven't seen it and it's not in 'Oleg's answers'.

Don't tell me about commercial secrecy or whatever - it has been too long. It is no secret. As someone said, another product could jump out of the woodwork after such a long wait and take interest away from SoW.

Many years ago I watched EA destroy Air Warrior while it ignored it's customer base. Later I watched Aces High keep it's customers waiting for over two years for it's much vaunted Aces High II which didn't deliver on it's promises and many of my friends moved to IL-2 as a result. Both resulted in loss of customers due to poor handling of the situation.

What I am saying is it doesn't do Maddox/UBI any favours announcing a new product and then keep us hanging around for over three years without keeping us informed. It's ridiculous.

And yes, people are going to rant about it here because here is where they come. This is 1CMaddox's forum. It is up to 1C Maddox to pick up on these issues and take them to UBI, it isn't for us to chase around after UBI and do their job for them. I have been as patient as the next man over this but it is becoming farcical.

All we want are regular updates.

Yes , thats a good Idear and in about two weeks this forum will be dead , theres nothing wrong with a heated disagreement , if we all start pretending that we agree with anothers opinion to keep the peace or because were afraid of getting banned then what s the point of a forum, I dont think Ive ever read any thread here that made me think a person should be banned for what he or she said.
