Seems like I explained a little badly.
Yes, I know I don't need a test runway for simply placing a home base.
Yes, I want to use the test runways for aethetic purposes just as I was about to build parts of the pit and visitor area, just for the immersion.

Apparently I need to go from concrete to metal runways or find another spot for the the airport all together.
