Is the track clip pro worth the extra £20 in the bundle deals. Do you have 6dof because of the clip pro or do you have it anyway?
In my room I sit facing the side with the window and there is rarely much light coming in as the curtain is permanently drawn on that side of the room. I would describe the general lighting around my PC as adequate but it is never bright at any time of day with or without the light on (light is a few feet away at my 10 o clock). Does that sound like a situation where the clip pro would benefit most or not? |

It really comes down to whether you want to wear a cap all the time, or a headset all the time. |

So the actual movement quality is not much better with the track clip pro?

they're just different ways of doing the same thing, both with the same result.

I've been able to attach the default reflector (intended for a cap) to my Logitech G35 heasdset as I always play with a headset on - works fine for me.
Picture of it here: http://mooch.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/trackir.jpg The G35 headset comes with interchangeable pads to suit different head shapes, I've basically used one of them to fix the TrackIR reflector in place. |

Update - All was good but now when I look up it doesn't look up very far because the Trackir is to far up on my head now. How can I adjust it to stop that happening? Last edited by PotNoodles; 04-24-2012 at 12:59 AM. |

You can move your TrackIR somewhere off the top of your monitor to get a better angle on it (check what it's reading using the TIR software) or angle it more on your headset. I get the opposite problem looking down as I prefer hats with the brim pulled way down low over the eyes.

Edit: I just read this so I think I my monitor needs adjusting. The link below is for anyone else who wonders what height their monitor should be. http://ergocanada.com/ergo/monitors/...uidelines.html Last edited by PotNoodles; 04-24-2012 at 05:40 AM. |
