Finally, we need to mention the launcher.exe crashes. This was a very hard issue to address as it wasn't caused by a single 100% reproducible bug, but rather rare combinations of various uncommon events.

It wasn't a single bug that they could just locate and squash with a couple of lines of code but by re-writing the engine and optimizing it they have probably minimized the chance of CTD's to a ridiculously low level. I'm sure someone will still have a CTD or two after the patch but they will most likely be a lot less frequent and a lot less common.

P.S There never was a CTD bug, the whole game engine was the bug.
Yep agreed, Not PC dependent.

All games sometimes CTD, i just hope it goes back to a rare event.

No, they tested on Etch A Sketches. Frame rates were a little slow, but they released it anyways.

PS would this be a bad time to point out that me.. the so called fanboy is pointing out that 1C may still have CTD issues post patch?

Which pretty much debunks anyone who ever thought of me as a fanboy! In that a true fanboy would be saying the following..

Everyone I am telling you this patch will be different
Huh.. kind of sounds like furbs last post? So is it safe to say furbs is a fanboy now?

That in a very small test group it is 100% fixed, is it correct to assume that this means it is 100% fixed? Only if you have switched to being optimistic from the usual pessimism that pervades around here
