That isnt the first picture I have seen from this era of someone riding a wing to guide a plane on taxi... it would be kinda neat to see something like that... more so than even Spitgirl

The OP's link shows a B-26 Marauder just below the 109's, I didn't know those were in the RAF at N. Africa. Even with that limited set of planes it would be interesting, but all the ones that I know were in theatre would be a huge undertaking in just aircraft alone. You could easily have 12 planes between German, Italian and Vichy French and almost as many for the Allies and a Huge Map would be necessary to be done right which the map we have in Il-2 1946 is not quite big enough even if it were accurate to do the entire operation which if I recall was on 3 fronts. I would like to see this as the next installment after Moskow.

This wiki claims it to be so:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...g_World_War_II

And another page, so seems it was...

http://www.historyofwar.org/articles...terranean.html

And another...

http://www.militaryfactory.com/aircr...ircraft_id=299

So I would say yes...

You can edit that Wiki page to say anything. Hold on and I will edit it up to my liking. I disagree with it in its entirety. I will rewrite it explaining to you the truth.

Ok then... just posting what I found on the net, I dont know any Marauder pilots personally to ask... but enough different sites say it was there, I can only assume it was...
