I have the one in sig and I maxed out all the settings, with fps always around 30-50. The 3 gB are used at 80-90% by CloD.
BTW, do the ATI cards till show the blue lines ? |

That problem has been narrowed down to the 69xx cards only, no other AMD cards are affected and yes, I do believe it's still there. Luthier said almost a year ago that it was a driver problem so who knows if it will ever be fixed.

S!
AMD, at least 7900-series, do not have the stripes. I use the 12.4 drivers(with OpenCL 1.2). Works a treat. |

I feel the 6800 series was a stop gap card. The 6870 was not near as good as the old workhorse 5870.
The 6900 series is better but has the blue line problem. From the pictures I have seen it is not a show stopper. I thought they had fixed the problem with one of the patches and then it reappeared with another patch. So I am not sure it is a driver problem. With all the people filling out forms to Amd I think they are at least aware of the problem even if our niche is too small to worry about. Maybe the 7800 series or the expensive 7900 series. At the moment the more video memory the better. That may change when the new patch arrives.Nvidia has a 4 gig GTX 680 coming. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/131 Last edited by Troll2k; 03-28-2012 at 04:17 PM. |

Cool, was looking at HD6950 but just far too expensive for me.. are the prices likely to change soon?
Was also looking at getting a nice meaty rig, AMD Bulldozer 4.20GHz Quad Core System.. wheres the best place to get beafy rigs online in the UK? I was looking at Overclockers |
