I am trying in both 2D and 3D. Neither works. I have 3 lights placed on a blank map. I click on any one and move it, but it does not snap anywhere.....it just moves to where I place it and then stays there. NO SNAP......LOL (Is this a joke???) Aviar

You need to zoom more, your snap distance is just 10 meters and in your current zoom level one squre is 1km so you can't see 10m movement from there.

The object only snaps to a grid intersection so its no use wanting to use it for runways. If TD wouldn't mind giving us the ability to raise/lower group objects that would be be the best option. Cheers. . Last edited by KG26_Alpha; 02-01-2012 at 12:17 AM. |

The funny part is, I was not even trying to use this feature. I simply posted to try and help Alpha.
If somebody had just said ....INCREASE THE STEP SETTING, YA DUMMY....we would have gotten it right away. Default that 10 setting to 500 and this tragedy will never happen again. ![]() "The object only snaps to a grid intersection so its no use wanting to use it for runways." *Not true. Once you have a nice line of lights, you can then copy and move them as a group to the runway. Aviar

Well getting a nice line of lights is the problem.
The small utility I had did a great job of lights and fencing etc. This ways a pain. The group objects copy, paste, raise and lower on the F4 key is a better option Training map for blind landing systems.

Yes
But lights are different under various versions. These are from old runway fire conversions +/- mod packs So its tough to keep a happy medium with everything. Needless to say, every one to their taste of things Last edited by KG26_Alpha; 02-01-2012 at 05:27 AM. |

Was "Group Cloner" or "Quick Object Tool" the utility that you remember using?
