I don't do backups (well, without counting my fresh 4.07 one) and my Il-2 lives. Backups are just in case.

Make a back up of the the original working install. Then do the patch thing, testing that it works each time. When you have a final 4.101 then delete the 4.08 and copy 4.101 (you might need that for mods) then do the last patch

I never regretted an unnecessary backup I made, but often one I did not take.

I went through all of the patch downloads last night and I am now up and flying again.
Thanks to all of you for your help in this process. The last download I did was the 4.11 Hot Fix .rar file. I placed it into the IL-2 folder. I assume this particular file is not an executable type file. Was there any additional action needed on this last item? Thanks. wrb1215 |
