See what happens in static (standstill on the ground), imagine that the same continues to happen when building up speed except that the slip will reduce i.e. the speed transfered into the air locally will diminish.


Basically the air is pulled backward therefore speed of aircraft 500 km/h => propeller pushing air at speed >500 km/h e.g. 550 km/h.

In other words, the propeller is a real airscrew, it works with a slip, it works as a wing, it can be stalled but works well when it generates lift (thrust) without being stalled.
