G'day Guys,

Just a bit of positive feedback for you.

At this stage I have suffered only one lock up with the new patch. The version of the game was running at my native screen res 1680 x 1050. This also had the external Dgen programme with it. The lock up happened after I had followed a bandit down and crashed myself. But after a system reboot I was able to fly with/with TrackIR and various QMB and FMB with no further locks or any CTD's

My other version is also the stock version with a screen res of 1280 x 768.

I at the time of writing this have the game patched to 4.11 and just completed a full mission from one of the stock campaign mission from wheels up to pancake.

Touch wood, no CTD with this version.

I downloaded the IL2_411_INT file via the torrent link.

I hope this may help in some way to nail down what the problem might be.

Love the work guys!!!

~S~

The CTD bug is almost certainly real and not mod related.

I can understand your dissapointment.
Seriously: read the numbers, I wrote above and think about.
To say that my facts are inaccurate and not provide any such link to back up what you are saying is insulting to say the least. I could list many more sites and references all of which state the same speeds and horsepower to + or - 5 of the numbers given. However this is more of a mod than a patch IMO.

The 6 DoF which I was highly looking forward to, is simply terrible for no better word.

The CTD just happened to me as I finally got on a Zeroe's 6 and I fire....CTD.

The only thing I can see worth noting are the extra difficulty switches and the enemy AI performance. Unfortunately the planes I like to fly have been nerfed considerably.

Provide the facts which support your modifications and I'll gladly play your mod.

However in the current state it isn't playable and secondly the butcher job you have done to ally planes is insulting and inaccurate.

Lastly I will always consider 4.101 to be the final patch for this game.

Feel free to post your observations on 6DoF with a detailed and constructive description of issues in a dedicated 6DoF debugging thread. Thank you.

IMHO the 6DoF is fine. It feels natural not being able to see my rudder in a P-51B for example. Besides, no glitches in cockpits, which are very common in modded planes, and good response in general. Rememeber that you fly with your seatbelt on, so your movement in the cockpit is rather limited.

The new view options work fine, though I miss the option of being able to watch your friendlies only when you're landed/dead, and not in normal flight. Not a great limitation though, since you are not going to watch your friends fly when you are in combat yourself.

Haven't made any long flights to say anything about CTD, will report back when I can give it a better try.
