Other than for nostalgia, I can't think of any reason why anyone would bother with the original IL-2, frankly, patched or not. 1946 has everything the original IL-2 had, and orders of magnitude more.
It's like restricting yourself to driving a ten-year-old Toyota Corolla when you have access to a Ferrari 599. |
More like a 40 year old Toyota.. Other than curiosity or nostalgia there is no reason to use the original IL2 and expect but so much. Meyerm you need to
suck it up and buy 1946 period. Then come back with issues if you find them. No offense.
