Maybe cos I like keeping my books on my shelf, or maybe cos if I lose a book it won't cost me 90 quid to get me a new one.. I dunno.. it's likely it will end up like the minidisc or dat tapes..

I too have a really big collection of real books and I was a little reluctant to get an e-book.. I like books.

However the real appeal of e-books is that you can be thinking about a subject, Battle of Britain for instance and within 2 mins you can be reading a book about it. I bought First Light, A most dangerous enemy, 10 fighter boys, The Spitfire log, sharks of the sky (about the Me-262) and a book of HD photographs of WWII aircraft cockpits..(I could go on). They are all fully illustrated and easy to read. I use an ipad and the kindle app or ibooks. I also have all my PDF copies of various Spifire manuals in my ibooks app.

It's meant I've read some books that I simply never even knew about. There are 3 Luftwaffe pilot's memoirs on there that I'll be getting next pay day.
