Yep, that's a Fairey Hendon.

I seem to remember a report saying that in a strong headwind, these A/C were known to fly backwards relative to the ground.

Thanks for posting the box art and the links Major, it reminds me of the days I used to spend poring over the Airfix catalogue, ticking which order I'd get the kits in over the next year.

The box art always had a huge impact on which ones it'd be.

There are lots of good aviation artists around, but I don't think anyone will ever replace Roy Cross.
