I've had that problem before too, luckily its REALLY hard to get lost in the English channel, and its always France is east, Britain west... but how to fix it, I'd like to know too

Are you setting the directional gyro up from the compass? you need to work out your current position before you head off, and then set your directional gyro to that...
Reading some of the material around, pilots had to regularly adjust their directional gyros as they would slowly lose their position. |
