I can easily do without the d pad view bucket, especialy in the yaks with their great rear view. As this is cockpit only that is what i'd be doing. But I know I can't fight without knowing the position of my throttle. I always have to keep an eye on the throttle percentage in the hud also because while looking around you can inadvertantly shut the throttle especialy when looking backwards because for an instant you weren't pushing down hard enough on the stick button. Also the engine note does not change with the throttle so you cannot rely on that either.
