Unless you have a similar system I wouldn't replace your own conf ini.. it will alter your graphics settings certainly to a higher state than I have mine set on at the moment.

Absolutely.. I always back up all my game files.. but there will be many that don't..

He is running with a screen res of 1920x1080. That is 230,400 fewer pixels to process than my 1920 x 1200. That can make a significant difference in performance.

With a 580GTX 3GB he can run it even without config.ini, he will not notice any difference
