In my case restarting the game doesn't help. I can provide the saved game at the exact moment when this happens ver 1.96. Obviously, something is happening in the background with this game since the glitch exists even when I reload a saved game.

Okay, if you want I can try to download your savefile. Play a couple of minutes and see if it crashes. If not I can get you back the savefile and you can see if your PC manages to survive beyond the point you constantly crash now.

Just let me know.

I never said that the game crashes, it slows down to practically being unplayable.

I'll give it a try this evening and on your semantics issue can you tell me the difference in the unplayability of the game?

Okay, tested your file.

This lag you have is normal in this level. It happens with one type of japanese armour. The moment you nail it with your AT infantry the lags also gone.

So you are right, somewhere the scripting goes wrong for certain type of hardware combo's (not all combo's have this problem somehow) but ranging the scale of min to max hardware and win XP to Win 7 I get this problem and not only me btw.

Attached the file where I just nailed the armour see if it helps you. Then just reload your old and bare with the wait. The rest of the levels gets better but you'll still suffer from it from time to time.
