Stern are you talking about the 190 that went in the drunk a few months back due to engine problems?

I bet he did, and iirc it was the prop which caused the ditch, not the engine which is pretty reliable, but hey, why miss the chance to slight our eastern fellows?

Yes that's why you see a lot of the flugs 190 sporting 4 bladed props now and if he is talking about that 190 then he will be glad to hear that it's being restored to flying condition.

Hopefully White 1 the f8 will be flying soon and there are two d9s being worked on as well

yep, it was that one. The engine had been running rough, but it was a prop governor failure (which is part of the engine) that caused the ditching : one of the prop blades feathered (!!!) and the pilot had no choice but to put her down in the water. He was actually brave enough not to bail out and try to do less damage as possible, great guy.

yeah that seemed the best solution, all in all the plane didn't sit in the water for too long, and the guys at Meier Motors know their stuff, I'm sure she'll be back better than before I have to say that those 4 props though... ughh!
