Back on the subject of SLI, what concerns me is when Luthier makes statements like this, the clouds didn't make the last patch because they conflict with SLI.

Quote:
Unfortunately two major things we cut out of the beta version of the patch did not make it into this release. Distant 2D clouds continue to conflict with NVidia SLI.
I would like to know how Luthier knows that the clouds conflict with SLI when SLI doesn't work, how did he test that?? What driver did he use to get SLI working? What profile did he use to test this?
Its these kind of crazy excuses that set my alarm bells ringing. During development Luthier claimed that SLI was working but couldn't show it working because he didn't have an SLI rig, so unless he has recently purchased am SLI setup any information he gives us about SLI is going to be pure guesswork on his part.

Since most people cant get SLI to work or dont have 2 cards, why cant we have the 2D clouds anyway?

maybe they are to be released "shortly" again...

SLI has not worked correctly since day 1, I think that the clouds conflict with SLI is just a smoke screen although I could be wrong, but if I am wrong I would like to know which driver Luthier is using to get SLI working and how he has set is SLI profile up. To be honest I am not expecting an answer from him on this.

Personally I can't see any noticable improvements in either CoD or RoF.

He said they broke SLI support just before the initial release, presumably that's how they know as it was once working. What drivers were working is irrelevant because they broke it and it doesn't work. (Probably with that Epilepsy filter)

Since then they claim to have fixed SLI, read previous posts.
