It's surprising that the 40$ investment is the end of life for some people here or atleast worth spending their evenings for months on end complaining about it. I think you have either exceeded your budget or been too dumb purchasing a title that was known to have issues before it was even released, instead of waiting for a few reviews.

Let it go! It'll either be a great success if you wait for the fixes or it'll be a grand failure if the devs are not able to fix it in a reasonable time. But any amount of repetitive whining on top of what we've heard already will not change CoD's destiny. Nor will it change the frequency of the updates. But what the hell.. beating dead animals is a joy of-course!

I think some people here have the feeling that this game is the only chance for a realistic prop-driven WWII flight sim game and have been waiting for it for 5+ years.

Some of those people only play flight sim (games) and have pinned their hopes on this title being great (hence the emotional investment in the game that some folks here have).

I understand their disappointment and frustration.

It's an odd condition of perception, if I'd had ~50 hours of entertainment out of any other £30 game or product I'd be very happy, flight sims on the other hand...

True Dano. I think 'entertainment' is the key word there! As I mentioned in my post earlier I've had 48 hours or so with Clod. I think what's important though is that many of those hours were taken up with frustration and exasperation with trying to get the sim running decently along with trying to fathom out what has been implemented and what hasn't! The F16 like performance of the AI 109's finally persuaded me to shelve it until hopefully things are sorted down the line.

I can see where you're coming from but personally I've had enough of paying out good money for sub-standard/unfinished products. Game developers/publishers are especially guilty of this and I think it's a worrying trend that is all too easily accepted by many. I have to say that you don't seem to be learning much about your bad judgement calls as you continue to throw money away on what you describe as 'crap' That is your perogative though.

I'd prefer to feel I've had my moneys worth especially as I and many others are feeling the 'pinch' here in the UK which means my gaming/simming budget has shrunk sustantially over the last year.

What I do find a little odd regarding Clod and updates from Luthier is that up until the US release they were pretty regular which as far as I can see kept things a lot 'saner' around here. Then suddenly, leading up to and post US release it goes very quiet which has meant it's really hit the fan on the forum since. I think many here can't help thinking that it all seems a bit 'fishy' and are only seeking some re-assurance from the devs that all is well in the Clod camp. Do they/we deserve it? Yeah, I think so, and it doesn't take much time or effort for Luthier or whoever to make a post to that effect. I'd say it is also in their interests to do so as a more contented atmosphere on the forum will surely help to lead to more sales in the long run.

Man alive.

Read between the lines. Whatever the man posts he'll get eaten alive, and he knows it. Want regular updates on progress? Keep the criticism constructive and stop harping and carping over the same things. That way we'll all get the updates on progress we'd like.
