I would start from scratch as it sounds like you have conflicting settings. The settings interface is horrible but so is pretty much every other aspect of the interface, but I digress...

At the least you'll want to reassign your view pan settings, or if you have TrackIR disable them completely and free up some key/joystick assignments.

Starting from scratch sucks but you can add what you need as you go along and realize you need something else, i.e. elevator trim, crosshair illumination, etc. just make sure you save your settings under a unique filename just in case a patch update messes things up.

In hands-off flight your plane will naturally want to go up and to the left/right depending on the plane because of torque and trim. That might sound obvious but since you're only a jet jock you never know...
