I usually get this bug in multiplayer but i've just had it happen in the RAF single player campaign! The sound went all choppy when a group of he111's appeared then it went completly. It's killing this sim.

Same happened with the JG Campaign to me yesterday. A restart of the mission solved it though...

They stated that they have to reprogramm the whole soundsystem wich will take "several months". I REALLY hope for them they make those "several" max 2 because this issue is really leeching all the fun out of the game. And its otherwise so much fun to play.

i have had the sound issue, but not for about 4 days now, and in those 4 days i have been flying online a lot, i tried alsorts, but heres something it might be or might not be, it may just be coincidence, i disabled all enhancements in windows 7 control panel (sound section) and reduced the sound quality to CD, has anyone else tried this?? like i say it may be coincidence, but since i did that i aint had one issue with sound.

My Win 7 sound quality was already reduced to CD unfortunately (from before COD was released), and I've been experiencing the sound bug a lot...
