A lot of squadrons are still flying IL-2 1946 and we're just 1 of the many.

Hey Moggy!, I look at your link, was that picture taken from BOB Memorial between Dover and Folkstone?, I live only few miles from it and looks very familiar.

you need to install CLEAN (stock) version of IL2 46 first, then, patch it with all official patches (4.08 up to 4.10.1), THEN install UP3 in the folder where you installed IL2. More info on the bottom of my post (see link).

S~ all

Greetings,

Think I might have to reload this 1946 beast up till the online community builds up for COD.4

Like Hyper lobby. Place for pilots to chat after battles and before to line them up for last seconds

I wonder is it me or the game bugs in COD that prevent me from being from the ground up or down in the fields.
Seems this game in my experience matches no other in real flight sim or am I wrong again?

Know doubt, it is me, but I will ask questions about COD till it’s operational for me.

Mean while:
Just find my scratchy old 1946 DVD again to install.

Its not just you mate, its all of us. I wouldnt waste much time trying this and that, it will only cause you headaches a deeep frustration flavor in your mouth everytime you try. I know this might sound unconstructive to say, but dont even bother reporting bugs, we did our very bit by purchasing IL2COD, now is the developers job and only the developers to fix it.

My advice to everyone is just keep IL2COD aside for a good while untill the sun shines on it. In the mean come join IL1946, I dont know who's behind all the updates and ultrapacks, I just want to say God bless you for all your hard work.

I cant wait for my copy of IL2196 to arrive, I already got all patches and ultrapack downloaded.

Yes that's right, the picture was taken at Capel le Ferne but I can't remember which TP'er took the picture...pretty sure it was Prangster or Malc.
The Tangmere Pilots comprises 4 Hurricane squadrons (1, 43, 145 & 601) which were stationed at Tangmere at the start of the Battle of Britain on 10th July 1940. Co-incidentally our last meetup a few weeks ago was held at the fantastic Tangmere museum.

For me Il2 1946 died when I purchased Clodo. But after two weeks trying to play Cliffs of Dover, IL2 resurrected stronger than ever. Never before in the history of the sims had a new simulator made everybody loved their older sims (contrary to what usually happens: new games make old ones seem old-fashioned and obsolete). Long live IL2 1946
