OT There is no gore. But you are still simulating the murder of another human being.

As for a 109 turning inside a Spit 2, well that depends on the pilot you are flying against.
I have shot down a 109 flying straight and true. The pilot was either engrossed in checking his instruments or had very poor SA.
I have shot down a Spit in a G50... Again it all depends on the pilot you are flying against. How good he is, how much he has flown. Is he simply testing the plane.
Many times I have taken off without giving a damn about the enemy. I am just testing how soon the engine overheats or a certain prop-pitch setting.
Honestly I only fly online so I have been shot down a lot even by AI...
The basic point is the 109 is not a turn fighter and no amount of claiming it is will change that. B&Z is what it is good at. Getting a kill turnfighting in a 109 is just luck. Because a pilot who knows his plane will kill you. It is that simple. That does not mean I doubt you have done it, I just say be greatful but do not make a habit out of it. You will die more often than you succeed.

You guys do realise we're just as weird as he is, right?

Playing at being WW2 pilots behind our monitors.
In the eyes of "normal" people we're all a bit well strange.

Difference being he's aware of that.

For all the jibberish you post... be carefull you don't cross the line, which usually happens. Then the old bad mods will scrape you off the forum, when you don't obey the forum rules.

So far mods have received numerous complaints about your postings, you must remember this is a community forums. At some point, if you don't make an effort to get along with other members reported postings will go against you.

yes i try to keep on topic( talk about the game) and never be rude however much im attacked

but some would report a post just by saying a 109 can out turn a spit

check that vid i out turn a gladiator online with a 1 i 185

the trick is turning going up and handle better energy

edit:

i see bnz dislike kill un unaware prey

bnzers put 2km tags intead of 5km to favour them in old il2

this game favours dogfight being so difficult to shoot

so i can get an adrenaline boost turning with a 109

but will it get ruined cause nay sayrs say a 109 cant out turn a spit?

people try to inlfunce the game into their way

so do i

ill try to behave but i bet this comment is disliked by some

i like a joust just of circlse where superior forces decide whos right bnz doesnt do that tnb does

Dude, IMHO the key to dogfighting is being a good improviser, knowing your plane, patience and if you're lucky, knowing the enemy's plane, which is a luxury for us simmers that real WWII vets didn't have mostly.

I never fly textbook basic fighting manouvers, although I know pretty much all of them. I like to combine them etc, but when flying full real, altitude and energy is a safe card. If it were you raaaid in 1940, in real life, in that 109 of yours, I bet you'd favour the "safe" card over turnfighting a spit down low. It's very very VERY hard to fly a simulation game and simulate real warfare because players don't "fear" for their lives. It has no consequences to be shot down. You don't have a personal relationship to your mates and if you do, they'll respawn after a few seconds. The "worst thing" that could happen is that you have to RTB to wait for your buddy to take off again.

When I was young I read for a school project an autobiography by Roald Dahl (the guy who wrote charlie and the chocolate factory and other famous books). The book was called "going solo" and covers the part of his life before, during and a little after the war where he flew Gladiators and Hurricanes in the mediterranean. He has some vivid memories of both crashes, kills and other stuff that really makes the book quite exciting. Stuff like fellow pilots discussing the "mine" rounds that would set the fuel tank on fire and burn you alive. I thought the book was good, and held some other interesting surprises.

By the way, the only gore in IL-2 ClOD is visually seeing the pilot "slip forward" as to indicate he's kicked the bucket Or died from lead-poisoning. In 1946 they had the highgore=1 or whatever it was called and it showed blood on a few selected planes. It was heavily overdone most of the time and quite "mspaint" like :p In CloD it brings up ESRB issues and people like you wouldn't be able to play it that way, and kids would have their mothers to go to the store to buy it for them.

I'm pretty sure it'll take a LOOOONG time even after SDK release to see any real blood ingame. I think it's fine as it is, but I'd like to see some "bleed-out" features or "loss of conciousness" effects. Also perhaps make the pilot a lot less resistant to G forces. But that may again represent a human suffering in pain and elevate the age-limit.

So, short answer, no guts, no worries.
