If your airspeed is X and you change pitch:
Fine = low blade angle = low load on engine = higher RPM Coarse = high blade angle = high load on engine = lower RPM In old IL2 fine is 100%, coarse is 0%. In CoD I don't know (I have disabled messages of controls from beginning), but probably it is the same.
