About the 109, you seem to have read the relevant threads and know enough about it, plus IvanK gave you a good temporary solution until they fix the control reversal in another patch, so i have nothing new to add.
About the Hurricane now: Quote:
The "can't change the pitch at all" kind of prop is called fixed pitch prop and it's the simpler one. The 109-style prop is called variable pitch prop, the pilot selects the pitch directly. The Rotol is a constant speed prop, the pilot moves the lever until his RPM gauge shows what he wants to use and then leaves it there. The prop will automatically maintain RPM to the best of its abilities. It can still over-rev (if airspeed is too high) or under-rev (if running the engine on idle on the ground), but generally it's a set and forget type of thing. |
