Here is a couple of uploads I just did to show the improvement I got using RAM disk. I dedicated 4 GB of RAM for bob_3do.SFS, bob_buildings.SFS and bob_ground.SFS and maps. I am actually pleased with these results.

Well done chap certainly seems to be running pretty well. I don't have bags of spare RAM myself but it means I've just added a dedicated SSD to my shoping list.

Question, where did the mod maker got the sound from? If it's not recording or artificial sound based on actual recordings, then they're equally bad as the original ones.

A marked downgrade. It went from sounding like 8 guns firing 20 rps from several yards away (the actual situation) to sounding like one gun firing 8 rps from the next valley over.
