Confused ? Im not suprised !
Your confused, your computers confused, your trakIr is confused, and Im completely baffled. Why the hell would you use your mouse to look around if you have TrakIr ? If you insist on persisting with this deviant behavior I supose you could always try reassigning keys. Oh and the F9 key "toggle TrakIr" does just that, it switches TrakIr on/off ( the TiR camera lights go from green to red) Personally If I were you I would try using yout Tir and forget the mouse, if you place the mouse pointer over say your airspeed indicator then as you look around the dashboard using Tir the pointer will hover over the individual dials giving you a nice overlay on the reading of that dial. Either that or sell your Tir, or have it comandeered and passed on to a more diserving person. ![]() |

My solution is simply to move the cursor all the way to the top right corner of the screen every time before I let go of the mouse. It's out of the way and unseen, but I can still grab it at a moment's notice.
Also, I bound one of my mouse buttons to pause TrackIR. Some of the cockpit switches can be kind of tricky to click on, especially when the plane is shaking, and having to keep my head perfectly still wasn't helping the problem. So I look at the switch, grab the mouse, hit pause, click the switch, hit (un)pause, park the cursor in the corner and keep flying. Takes a whole lot longer to type than it does to actually do it. |

Hit pause in a sim, shocking behavior, try doing that online.

Read the OP again. He doesn't want to use both the mouse and TrackIR to look around. The issue is the ugly popup tooltips all over the place.
Read my post again. I'm not pausing the game, I'm pausing TrackIR for a second so the camera will hold still while I click on a switch. |

Whoarmonger, I don't use the mouse to look around...I use it for other things (hoping for mousewheel axis support too since this is and always has been my throttle control) and it's a long time habit since the demo days of IL2. I must re-look at this so-called toggle TrackIR in-game setting because for me, it does nothing. Should this be set to your TIR profile's 'pause' maybe? I was a bit knackered when I wrote that post last night and basically what I'm getting at is this: -Ugly cursor popup on means TIR and mouse don't conflict. -Ugly cursor popup off (a good thing most of the time) means TIR and mouse do conflict. -An option to exclusively toggle the popup without doing anything else is the solution. |
