This patch has further improved smoothness of play. I do now have to occasionally kill launcher.exe when trying to exit game. I also still get a graphical bug with the coast of south east UK where it turns into a big square block corner. I don't play online.

Win 7, 32 bit.
Core Duo e6850
Nvidea 450 GTX.

Delete your cache to get rid of those block corners. Changing your video driver may also result in those squares. Same with crashes.

RESUMÉE:

After following W0ef patch install this patch has further improved fps and graphics. Now i am able to turn on clouds and shadows, its really an eyecandy and gameplay is very smooth but CTD s are quite alot. I know its a beta patch but hopefully crashes will be fixed in the official release.

Cheers

That is absolutely pitiful. The poster of that video has dual 6990's in crossfire. There is absolutely no excuse for a game to not perform with that level of firepower under the hood. That's 4GB of VRAM people. Two of the fastest video cards on the planet. Practically every other game in existence will rock on that system. Heck I have an older HD5850 with only 1GB VRAM and I run Rise Of Flight, FSX, Wings of Prey etc. etc. in that resolution at full detail with no problems.

Translation. It's broke.

Dude ... with that 5760x1080 resolution and x4 AA you are killing your VRAM, that is why the constant shuttering.

There no space in the VRAM to load the all the models, so they are rotating in the small free space, causing shuttering.

Lowering the settings makes your GPU fast but you will not free enough VRAM.

With 1GB of VRAM per GPU the best resolution is 1920x1080 perhaps 1920x1200, and even so you can have some occasional shuttering in high populated model zones, like London.
