b101uk said it all ![]() Especially point 2 is very serious and usually underestimated. It does not matter how many fans you put in but how the air flow inside yor case is working. I have bigger problems as I have two GPUs usually the first blocking the air intake of the second and both of them blocking the cooler of the chipset on the mobo. In the past I used to watercool the mobo chipset with a very special thin chipblock cooler. (the arrival of tri-SLI mobos solved my problems by increasing the spacing between two GPUs). I have a special case with perforated panels on all sides, big fans on top sucking air out of the case and I have a big fan on the side panel throwing air inside, just above the two fans of my GPUs. (because of this setup, if I remove the side panel, the temperature of my GPUs will actually increase; This is proof that the airfow inside my case is proper and performing). Oh! And get all cables to the side and out of the airflow way (and bind them together). Another tip is to watch the temperature of your Hard disk (unless if you have SSD). It will give you an indication about how hot your case is getting. And sorry, I have no 580 (sigh) I have two 570 and I do not hear anything with or without hedphones - although, at your temperature it is to no surprise that the fans have to work at top speed in order to keep the temperature as low as possible. Besides all this, I must admit you 99% all the time is not normal ! This is a 3840x screenshot from my rig (patch 14.xxxx) the GPU-Z values show temp, gpu % and RAM used My GPU rarely goes up to 95% Probably the new drivers will solve the problem otherwise lower te resolution of the game and see if this changes the GPU utilisation% ![]() Good luck and happy flying!
