Iam really starting to get pissed off with this game!

ATT works for my 4890.
1st go to hardware overclocking settings and create a profile for your desired (default) clocks.

Then go to Game Profiles and create one for Launcher setting your overclocking profile to load in hardware tab.

The settings will load automatically when you start CoD.

You may also try ATI Override 5 in Hardware settings.
