BTW I find that "mod" a bit too difficult to install . . .
I believe by lowering your screen resolution it automatically reduced texture res. Correct me if im wrong. Ive been telling people to lower there resolution for days to get better fps but most people here are either to ignorant , stubborn or too stupid too try it.

The textures in the game are "too big", that's the problem... the solution is not to reduce your resolution, but to reduce the texture sizes. Reducing the texture resolution will lower the overall image quality just a bit, on the other side, reducing your resolution will have a big impact in your IQ (worse if you use a LCD screen).

With the mod (lowtex and nossao) fix i've gained 25fps and less stutters, without any noticeable decrease in IQ.

Lowering resolution really was good solution so far, as Oldschool said. But, with some tweaking and tuning the textures maybe we didn't have to do that, which would be very good.

Anyway, I have the same problem as Doc_uk, I REALY dont understand what to do.

How I do this: "-Finally use -mod=nossao commandline parameter to
enable the mod for launcher.exe."?

I am sorry but i didn't realise we would need a degree in computers to get this game playable in the first place. Why is it up to those volunteers to sort this out.
I hope if and when i get round to buying this sim they will include a computer guru that you can plug in and it will do the work for you

Lowering your rez has been the best way to improve fps in any game since they started making them in resolutions higher than VGA.

Its not as hard as you think.. and remember this is a 3rd party work around.. hopefully 1C will build in a setting check box disabled by default which you could simply check or not in the GUI.

The good news about this is that it makes the game run significant;y better.. not just a little bit. The people NOT seeing any improvement have probably NOT installed it properly
