Did you modify your conf.ini in the two folders, user/documents/1Cclub and programs(x86)/steam/steamapss/...? Last edited by senseispcc; 04-07-2011 at 04:16 PM. Reason: some corrections |

If you have a 990X you can easily overclock it to 1Ghz higher than the stock speed by doing nothing but raising your mulitplier in bios. And that would not even need a raising of the vcore voltage either! You might have to switch to a different mode to be able to raise the multi, but that would probably give you some better frames. At least it would help. A 980 or 990 is a waste of money if you don't overclock it. And the doing it mostly by mulitpier raising and very little BCLOCK raising is best. That's what the $1000.00USD price tag is for. Otherwise you might as well have gotten a much cleaper processor. Lots of people assume that an expensive processor will automatically be a lot better performer than a cheaper one but in cases like this, it's no better than a CPU half the price if you don't overclock it.
