fixing the framerate
fixing the stutter
better joystick support and tuning
better sounds
collisions with tree
better user interface
better ai
career mode
better effects, in particular tracers, but also crashes, in flight explosions
more mid sized mp maps
better damage model (yes, this one have flaws)
access to structure and weathering files for skinning

Ricochets are already there. After crash-landing a 110 i switched to external camera and started firing the guns, it wasn't long before i could see tracers going off in weird angles. It looks pretty good, even better if you use cannon shells that have a smoke trail.
