This again..
The visible tracer rounds used by RAF in BoB were smokless. If you want smoke tracer then load out with the buckingham incendiaries, these leave the distinctive spiral smoke trails. In this (badly edited by me) BoB video you can see both types being used. EDIT: I seem to remember Oleg saying they had to compromise with the light tracers because of the way they move.
